Dear Home Instead administrators,

Jessie has been my mother’s caregiver for some time now. This has been and will proceed to be very difficult times.  I am so grateful to Jessie for the care, friendship, and respect she has shown my mother.  My mother looks forward to every visit, and having Jesse here means I can hold down my part time job. We started with Home Instead years ago and it was difficult to find the right person.  As you know, there is a lot involved with finding the right caregiver for the patient.  Our problems included having different people come to the house, dealing with personality conflicts, and getting the caregivers doing the right things as opposed to just what my mother wanted!

Jessie is such a wonderful person, a professional caregiver, and a true friend to my mother.  She listens to my requests regarding care, shows respect to my mother, and continues to work hard with excellent care for my mother.  We have expended her schedule to four times a week.  Jessie is an essential part of my mothers care plan, and so much more. They go shopping, exercise, have meals, and play bingo every week!

I am grateful for her bathing and hygiene of my mother. When the change came that my mother could no longer bathe herself, Jessie stepped up and took charge.  My mother had no problem adapting because she trusted Jessie.  She is able to get Gloria bathed, while treating her with dignity and respect, and then gets her beautifully dressed. (And then leaves the house nicer than she found it!).

Dear Home Instead Staff,

On behalf of my family, I wanted to thank you for the service you provide for my father, John.  We found your team to be professional, caring, and patient.  When my parents canceled the service once or twice and didn’t always call ahead of time on schedule changes, you were very patient and kind each time.

I am sure that many people struggle as my parents did with needing help but denying they can no longer do it on their own. Because of the service you provided my father was able to stay at home for the remainder of his life. This was truly a blessing.

I have included cards for the wonderful women, Lupe and Evelyn, who were our caregivers.  What an amazing ability they both have to step into a very intimate time for a family and be helpful, comforting, and non-intrusive.  We loved both these ladies and were so grateful that Lupe was able to be our strength and comfort on my fathers last day.

Jay and I wanted to thank you and the Home Instead team for the wonderful and loving care provided for our Aunt Lucie. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many people, including her caregivers. Dear Debbie,

I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent professional care my late wife Tina received from you staff.  A touch of sensitivity and caring was ever prevalent in addition to the professional duties required and executed. This meant so much in Tina’s time of need.

The care I am currently receiving from the caregivers/companions is more than adequate, again the sensitivity and understanding is prevailing.

I would specifically like to mention how much I appreciate the administrative efforts of Debbie G. who willingly and expeditiously scheduled and rescheduled personnel to ensure my needs were being met.
